Former Diablo devs unveil Rebel Galaxy for PS4, PC

Ex-Diablo and Torchlight developers Travis Baldree and Erich Schaefer have announced open-world space survival game Rebel Galaxy for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

A post on the US PlayStation Blog reveals the upcoming title from Double Damage Games – a new studio co-founded by Baldree and Schaefer, the pair that founded Torchlight franchise developer Runic Games.

Rebel Galaxy lets you pilot your own ship and attempt to survive in a sandbox universe as you take on the role of a mercenary, trader, pirate or rogue hero. The game offers a faction system connected to player actions and conversation-based choices as well.

Baldree further clarified that Rebel Galaxy won’t include multiplayer and will cost somewhere "in the downloadable title price range."

Double Damage states the game will launch at some point in 2015 on PS4, PC (via Steam) and maybe” Xbox One. Here’s a look at the trailer:
