Games for Windows Live update due next month

reports that Microsoft is soon to release a second patch for its Live-enabled Games for Windows service.

The update will bring with it the support for offline Achievements, a feature that has proved hugely popular amongst Xbox 360 gamers. Also new will be enhanced friends list functionality, which will allow gamers to join friend’s games, and a host of other UI tweaks

We’ve come a long way since announcing the vision of Live across multiple Microsoft platforms last year and are committed to continually refining and bringing future functionality to Games for Windows Live,” the company stated.

Upcoming Games for Windows Live compatible titles include Kane & Lynch, Gears of War, Viva Pinata and The Club.
