Green Man Gaming launches mobile payments

PC game downloader Green Man Gaming has teamed up with GlobalCharge to offer its customers mobile payments.

Customers can now update their store credit from their mobile bill or pay as you go credit.

Many other distributors already offer mobile payments. The movie payment market is expected to be worth 400 billion by 2015.

Mobile payments are currently only available on Green Man’s UK site. But will be rolled out to Czech Republic, Germany, Greece and Turkey before the end of the year.

As we continue to expand the business across Europe with regional stores, we’ll be offering consumers a wide range of options tailored specifically to their market, with mobile payments central to our payment options," said Green Man MD Paul Sulyok.

"Since we first launched mobile payment has been one of the most popular requests from the community, so we’re looking forward to welcoming a whole new audience of PC gamers to the innovative Green Man Gaming offering.”
