MW2 PC sales topple predecessor

Though some corners of the internet would have you believe that we were literally all about to die following Infinity Ward’s decision to drop dedicated multiplayer servers for the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the sales numbers paint a different story.

Posting on the Infinity Ward message boards (as spotted by BigDownload), community manger Robert Bowling stated:

The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has actually outsold the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in its first week. Making it the most successful PC version.”

Though we don’t know exactly how many units the game has shifted on PC, it’s fair to assume it’s quite a few.
