Surgeon Simulator surpasses 2m sales

Bossa Studio’s surgical sim and YouTube darling Surgeon Simulator has sold more than 2m copies across all platforms.

The game jam entry debuted commercially on PC, Mac and Linux in 2013, and has launched on iOS, Android and PS4 platforms over the last year or so as well.

"Thanks to everyone who has played Surgeon Simulator and made it such a global success,” Bossa co-founder Henrique Olifiers said in a statement.

It has been really amazing to see this title go from a game jam project to a full release across multiple formats and is testament to the originality and creativity we nurture here at Bossa Studios.”

Last week, Bossa revealed its Early Access title I Am Bread has performed well enough for the team to begin development on a mobile edition of the game for an iOS release later this year.
