Social games giant releases Bubble Safari headed up by former EA creative director

Turmell’s debut Zynga title bursts onto Facebook

Zynga has released Mark Turmell’s free-to-play puzzle game Bubble Safari onto Facebook and its own games platform.

The title is the first game developed by the former EA Tiburon senior creative director since leaving the publisher last year.

Turmell left the company in July last year after just 18 months, and was one of a series of high profile developers to depart EA during 2011, with the publisher’s second-in-command John Schappert also jumping ship to Zynga.

Bubble Safari is a puzzle game which has users bursting bubbles to earn power ups and save various animals from poachers, and will feature modes such as time challenge and head-to-head.
