Valve survey says bulk of PC users won’t upgrade for VR

Developers working on VR projects would do well to keep PC players’ current set-ups in mind as most potential adopters plan to hold on to their current rig.

In a survey carried out buy Valve, 42 per cent of 2,000 respondents said they were not planning to upgrade their computer in order to support virtual reality devices,GamaSutrareports.

Developers will also need to be aware of the environment in which these players expect to be using VR devices, with 42 per cent saying that their primary PC is currently in their bedroom. The vast majority – 69 per cent – said they would not move their PC in order to accommodate for virtual reality experiences.
