PICTURES: Amazon console controller images leaked

The first images of Amazon’s dedicated under-the-TV gaming hardware have seemingly arrived online.

As reported by TechCrunch, the images from Dave Zatz – which are included below – apparently show an optional additional controller peripheral that will not actually ship with the final console.

The device is largely what you might expect, with two analogue sticks, shoulder buttons, diamond-arranged face buttons and a cluster of four nav buttons in the middle.

Also note the OnLive-style play/rewind/fast-forward buttons on the outer bezel, which are likely designed for use with video streaming services.

It will apparently also work with Kindle Fire tablets.

Talk of Amazon’s Android-powered console has been rife since the turn of the year and point to a possible launch in the imminent future.
