PICTURES: Borderlands 2 Asia preview event

Last week, while most of the gaming world had its eyes on Germany for Gamescom, Gearbox Software’s Randy Pitchford flew down to Singapore for a preview of the studio’s upcoming game – Borderlands 2.

The event kicked off with Pitchford walking a roomful of journalists from around Asia through the game’s various character classes, including the Mechromancer DLC class. Then, Gearbox community manager Chris Faylor and three volunteers from 2K Asia attempted to take down the insanely toughTerramorphous boss, failing miserably.

Then it was time for us to get some hands-on time with Borderlands 2’s new Robot Slaughter co-op mode.

Later in the evening, Faylor gave fans of 2K Games Asia’s Facebook page a short preview of the game, and the fans then had a chance to win some swag and try out the game for themselves.
