Plants vs Zombies grosses $1m on iPhone

PopCap Games has announced that its new iPhone game Plants vs. Zombies has grossed more than $1m in revenues in just nine days on the App Store.

The game – a conversion of the company’s existing PC title of the same name – has sold more than 300,000 downloads at $2.99 a pop since launching last week.

It has also spent much of the last week topping both the Paid Apps and Top Grossing charts on the App Store.
