PlayStation Home redesign goes live

Sony’s games-centric redesign of PS3 virtual world PlayStation Home has gone live today.

The new look sees Home remodelled around four separate districts – Action, Sportswalk, Adventure and Indie Park, each of which launches with a selection of free-to-play games.

Aside from the four hubs, Home’s central areas such as The Boardwalk and Home Square, have also been reworked. Established Home games such as bowling and chess remain available.

"The new revamp of PlayStation Home puts you right at the centre of a world of games", SCEE’s head of online marketing Darren Cairns stated.

"We now have multiple spaces, games and activities themed around the types of games you know and love on your PS3 – and it’s free to join in and have a look around. PlayStation Home provides a completely unique way to meet your PlayStation Network friends and play, interact or simply hang out with them."
