PlayStation PR veteran Fargher joins Activision

Activision has named Jonathan Fargher as its new head of UK PR.

He starts his new role on October 7th.

Fargher has worked at PlayStation for 14 years, most recently as senior UK PR Manager, and has helped launch every PlayStation console.

Prior to Sony, he worked at Psygnosis, and has a games industry career that has spanned almost 20 years, working on blockbusters including WipEout, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo and Uncharted.

He will lead Activision’s UK PR efforts for upcoming blockbusters including Skylanders, Call of Duty and Destiny. His team includes PR managers Henry Clay and Karen Ward and he will report to European PR boss Craig O’Boyle.

Jonathan has been a key PR player at PlayStation for nigh on 14 years in which time he has made a huge contribution to the launches of PS2, PS3, PSP and PS Vita,” said Sony Computer Entertainment UK PR boss David Wilson.

He’s been a much valued member of the team, he’s a big character – the sort that makes working for PlayStation unique and we will all miss him.”
