Pokémon Go finally launches in the UK

Having been released in other regions, Pokmon Go has finally hit the App Store and Google Play in the UK.

This is one week after the free-to-play mobile hit launched in New Zealand and Australia. Pokmon Go is also available in the US and Germany.

At the time of writing, the game is yet to break into the Google Play or App Store charts. However, based on its performance in other parts of the world, it is surely going to be at the top of the charts within a few hours.

The game has already made developer Niantic Labs $1m, with research firm App Annie predicting it will generate $1bn a year.

It has also added 7.5bn to Nintendo’s market value, despite the fact that it was only out in a few regions at the time. No doubt this valuation will rise as Pokmon Go launches in other regions, including its native Japan.
