Pokémon Platinum dated for May

Nintendo has announced that Pokmon Platinum is to arrive in Europe on May 22nd.

The latest entry in the mega-selling franchise has already taken Japan by storm, becoming the country’s second biggest title of 2008 with 2.4 million copies sold to date, with its first million being sold in the first three days.

The game, which is an update to Pokmon Diamond and Pearl, once again takes place in the Sinnoh region, and comes with a wealth of new features including extra online modes, more Pokmon and the all-new Distortion World.
