PS3 beats 360 in internet race

New research from mobile marketing analysts Millennial Media has named the PS3 as one of the top four internet connected devices in Q3 2010.

It was the only home console to make the listings, with both Xbox 360 and Wii absent. The iPod Touch was named as the most connected device, followed by the iPad and, surprisingly, the PSP, leaving PS3 to claim fourth in the table.

Gaming was crowned the most popular mobile app category, outstripping social networking and music.

The claims were made in Millennial Media’s MobileMix Mobile Device Index report for September.
