PS4 launches across several new markets

Sony has announced the launch of its PlayStation 4 system in 16 new countries.

Games Industry reports new markets include Greece, Slovakia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

Other upcoming territories have also been announced, such as Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Malaysia, and more.

Meanwhile, Japan – Sony’s home country – won’t see PlayStation 4 on shelves until February 22nd, 2014. Sony previously stated not enough releases that have appeal to Japanese audiences would be ready in time for the holiday launch window.
