PSP Remasters coming to PS3

SCEJ has announced that it is to bring a number of PSP’s most successful titles to PS3.

Called PSP Remaster, the games will receive a high definition makeover and, in some cases, stereoscopic 3D visuals. Some will also include additional content and extended online functionality.

The games will be playable on either system and save data created in one can easily be used in the other.

At the moment the line-up has only been confirmed for Japan, so it’s no shock that the first game to be confirmed for the treatment is Capcom’s Japanese smash-hit Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.

With Japan being very much the PSP’s homeland, it’s unclear whether or not Sony will choose to bring PSP Remasters to Western markets.
