343 Industries announces Halo: Spartan Strike

There’s a new Halo game coming… to Windows mobile and PC.

IGN reports that 343 Industries has confirmed Halo: Spartan Strike, a spiritual successor to Halo: Spartan Assault.

It’s due out on December 12th priced at $5.99 and will be available for Windows Phone, Surface tablets and PCs. It will also be sold through Steam.

The events in the game take place during the events of Halo 2 and promises a number of gameplay improvements over its predecessor.

Spartan Assault was released on Windows 8 last summer before making the jump to Xbox One in December and Xbox 360 at the start of the year. That game was set between the events of Halo 3 and Halo 4.
