Activision confirms Call of Duty: Ghosts Extinction as co-op mode

Activision has officially revealed the new Extinction mode for Call of Duty: Ghosts, confirming that a co-op fight against aliens will be included when the game launches next month.

Developer Infinity Ward teased the new modeover the past weekend, with images of the gameplay leaking online shortly after.

Extinction has up to four players facing off against pod-hatching aliens in multiple base defense scenarios where scavenging resources is key.

Team’s are split into different classes, and a leveling system will be in place as well – though its not clear if it will be integrated with the ranks of other multiplayer modes.
