US site spotlights indie developers

Amazon opens indie games storefront

Online retail giant Amazon has opened a new indie games storefront dedicated to titles developed by independent PC and Mac developers.

To celebrate the launch Amazon is running a number of special discount deals until June 10th.

Games on the store include the likes of Deadlight, The Cave, Mark of the Ninja and Bastion, all of which can be downloaded.

Those who purchase a game from the indie section will also receive a copy of the Huntsman: The Orphanage, Dynasty of Dusk and The Curse of Nordic Cove for free.

As well as these deals, Amazon has also launched a range of exclusive indie games bundles, and claimed 100 per cent of sales from these will go straight to the developers.

There is also a special indie spotlight section currently featuring Gaijin Games.

The indie games storefront is currently only available in the US.
