Assassin’s Creed IV ships 11m units

Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has shipped 11m copies to date.

The figure was produced within the company’s full-year earnings report for the period ending on Marcy 31st, 2014.

"We are extremely pleased that Assassin’s Creed has become the fourth-biggest franchise in the industry," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said. [The Assassin’s Creed brand has grown] into a regular 10 million-plus elite franchise."

Assassin’s Creed as a series has sold 73m units as of last month. The next title in the franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Unity, is set to release for consoles and PC this fall.
