Australian dev receives $17k Unreal Dev Grant

Epic Games has handed $17,000 to Australian developer Beethoven & Dinosaur for its debut title The Artful Escape of Francis Vendetti.

The game is a narrative driven adventure about a musician, and features a focus on musical in encounters with enemies.

The team is made up of game lead Johnny Galvatron, formerly part of an Australian band called The Galvatrons, music lead Josh Abrahams and singer-songwriter Luke Legs.

“The Unreal Dev Grant program is a catalyst for indie creators, giving teams such as ours the support and trust of a gaming heavyweight,” said Galvatron.

“This grant makes our vision fuller and richer, and we’re super excited to be working with Epic and Unreal Engine 4."
