Battlefield 3 hits UK on October 28th

One of EA’s most anticipated games this year – Battlefield 3 – will arrive in the UK on Friday, October 28th.

The third main instalment in the FPS series is out in Europe three days after it’s released in North America on October 25th. It’s available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

This means Battlefield 3 arrives two weeks ahead of its major rival, Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which is due out worldwide on November 8th.

The news confirms previous MCV reports that said the two games would go head-to-head later this year.

Battlefield 3 received plenty of ‘best of E3′ awards including recognition from critics at Shortlist, 1UP.com, Zoo, GameSpy and Machinima.
