Rich Vogel to head up new development outfit

Bethesda opens new Austin studio Battlecry

Bethesda Softworks has opened a new studio Battlecry in Austin, Texas.

The new development branch will be headed by former BioWare exec Rich Vogel.

Vogel recently left Bioware after serving as executive producer for Star Wars: The Old Republic, and has 20 years of game development behind him.

The new studio is currently hiring other experienced developers to work on an unknown project, rumoured to be Fallout MMO.

Battlecry will be the second Zenimax-owned studio in Austin, joining Dishonored developer Arkane studios.
