Online firm also poaches key staff from NCsoft and Ping0

Blizzard’s global customer service director joins Trion

Online publisher and developer Trion World Networks has strengthened its senior management with key hires from NCsoft and Blizzard.

Thor Biafore has joined the firm as customer support manager, and was previously global director of customer service for Blizzard Entertainment, who oversaw the launch of World of Warcraft all the way to its current world-leading status.

Meanwhile, Jack Wood has joined the firm from Ping0, as in-game support manager, while the aptly-named Eric DeBill will be taking up the role of senior platform billing lead after five years at NCsoft.

“As Trion continues to promote the industry’s shift from packaged-goods software to video games and entertainment as a service, Thor, Jack, and Erik will help us ensure that ultimately serving the gamer is the key differentiator of the Trion Server-based Games Platform,” said Lars Buttler, CEO, Trion World Network.
