Call of Duty scheduled for autumn Vita release

A PlayStation Vita version of Activision’s blockbuster war franchise Call of Duty will be released this autumn.

The admission comes from SCEA’s senior VP of PlayStation brand marketing Guy Longworth, who told GameTrailers: "In the Autumn, [my kids] are really looking forward toCall of Dutyon Vita, and that’s going to be an absolute game changer for the platform."

Details about the title, aside from its existence, remain very thin on the ground. It’s not yet known, for instance, whether it will be a port of an existing title or a brand new, Vita specific SKU.

One safe bet, though, is the inclusion of online multiplayer, possibly with integration with the Call of Duty: Elite network.
