Capcom announces a Resident Evil team-based FPS

Publisher Capcom has said it is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Resident Evil series with… a team-based first person shooter.

Resident Evil Umbrella Corps has an air of Resident Evil Raccoon City about it, although infused with a big dose of modern FPS trappings. We know the game is coming to PS4, although it’s not clear if it will also hit other platforms.

While both teams will be human, zombies can be found round and about – and they seem to offer more than just another target to aim at, too. In the video below a player can be seen using one as a shield.

The game is due out some time in 2016. Here’s the video:
