Capcom posts quarterly gains

Flying in the face of the global credit crunch, Capcom has reported some positive financials for the quarter ending September 30th 2008.


Kotaku

reports that net sales for the period hit YEN 31.26 billion, up 0.4 per cent on the same period last year. Net income increased by 16.8 per cent to hit YEN 1.8 billion.

The publisher named Japanese PSP smash Monster Hunter Freedom 2G as the main driver of its success, with the game having sold 2.5 million units. The arcade success of Street Fighter IV was also hailed.
