Katharina Hautz leaves the Crysis developer after five years

Crytek development manager joins Rovio Stockholm

Crytek development manager Katharina Hautz has joined Rovio Stockholm as senior producer.

Hautz had been at Crytek for five years and worked on the single player and multiplayer aspects of titles including Crysis 2 and Crysis 3.

The news was revealed by the studio’s GM Oskar Burman over Twitter, who himself previously worked as COO and later GM of EA Easy Studios.

Rovio’s Stockholm branch was opened in 2012, and Burman has been tasked with leading operations and staffing up the Sweden branch.

The studio is currently working on an as yet unannounced project, although it has previously developed an update for iOS and Android title Angry Birds Seasons, called Abra-Ca-Bacon.
