Destiny: The Collection bundles all the game’s content together

Activision has confirmed that Destiny: The Collection will release alongside upcoming expansion Rise of Iron on September 20th.

The 49.99 SKU includes everything for the game released until now – that’s The Dark Below, House of Wolves, The Taken King and, of course, Rise of Iron. Also included is a 40-level character boost so newcomers can instantly catch up with their longer-term Destiny buddies.

Also announced is an upgrade option for players still languishing on PS3 or Xbox 360. This offer will run until January 31st. Details of that can be found here. The site quotes a price of $40.

Destiny: The Collection is the perfect starting point for gamers who have yet to experience Destiny,” Activision’s senior VP of Destiny Byron Beede said.

Destiny: The Collection contains some of the most engaging content Bungie has ever created and the soon-to-be released Rise of Iron. It also includes a character boost that will allow new players to instantly join in with friends who are already enjoying Destiny.”
