Dragon Quest: Heroes is PS4 and PS3 bound

Square Enix’s Dragon Quest series is scheduled to make a PS4 debut next year.

Spin-off title Dragon Quest: Heroes is slated for both PS4 and PS3 in 2015 and is being developed by Square Enix’s Yuji Horii and Tecmo Koei’s Kou Shibusawa, of Dynasty Warriors fame.

There will also be a special edition version of the PS4 console to accompany the release.

The main Dragon Quest series has in recent years been centred around Nintendo’s hardware and, more recently, smartphones. The last game to carry the ‘Heroes’ name – 2005’s Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime – was released on DS.
