E3 2012: Cage to reveal Beyond at Sony presser

Quantic Dream’s next game after Heavy Rain will be called Beyond, MCV understands.

It is expected that studio boss David Cage will take to the stage at Sony’s E3 press event tomorrow morning (2am UK time) to debut the title, US publishing sources have told MCV.

As with Heavy Rain, it will be narrative based and use motion-captured actors to give a sense of real-world immersion. What we also know is that the game will be a Sony exclusive.

Heavy Rain was a hit with both critics and consumers. It focused on believable performances form the actors playing its main cast to convey a story that was emotionally deep and, by games terms at least, subtle and thought-provoking.

Expect Cage to further these ideals with Beyond.
