E3 2013: Metal Gear Solid V opens Microsoft conference

Kojima Productions has opened Microsoft’s E3 conference with a fresh new look at at Metal Gear Solid V.

Confirming the game as open world and to be released on Xbox One, the trailer evoked a similar feeling and setting to Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption, opening with a view of a vast desert with Snake riding a horse.

The trailer showed off a number features included in the next-gen MGS, such as various modes of transport, including a tank, as well as day and night cycles.

Characters starring in the latest Metal Gear include Snake, Skull Face, Ocelot and Code Talker.

The trailer also presented the same stunning graphics as shown off in previous videos of Metal Gear and the Phantom Pain, with the trailer finally offering confirmation that Metal Gear Solid V and The Phantom Pain are indeed the same title.
