Sony targets competitive multiplayer market with new IP Rigs

E3 2015: Guerrilla Cambridge bringing eSports to Morpheus

UK developers Guerrilla Cambridge has created the first eSports title for Project Morpheus, Sony’s virtual reality headset.

Entitled RIGS, the new IP is a sci-fi first-person shooter that throws players into a brightly coloured arena for fast-paced multiplayer battles.

The game was introduced during Sony’s E3 press conference, alongside a number of other titles confirmed for Project Morpheus, including World War Toons and Eve Valkyrie.

We’re still hoping for launch details of Project Morpheus by the end of the conference, but it may be that Sony decides to wait until its press conference at Paris Games Week in October.
