EA gives Gaymercon its official backing

Gay-focused gaming and tech convention Gaymercon has received the official backing from publisher EA.

The gathering, which is designed as a friendly destination for the LGBTQ community, smashed its $25k Kickstarter target last month.

EA’s global diversity and inclusion boss Ginger Maseda stated: EA believes that to be truly innovative, you must be inclusive. We are proud to be a part of this event.”

An array of EA titles will be available to try on the show floor.

Gaymercon’s industry relations director Jack DeVries added: EA not only publishes some of the best games in the world, but they’re the most progressive company in the industry. We’re thrilled and honoured to have them involved in GaymerCon.”

Gaymercon will take place between August 3rd-4th 2013.
