EA Origin Humble Bundle breaks records

The latest Humble Bundle has become the fastest selling in the charity’s history.

The Humble Origin Bundle allows players to pick up six EA titles – Dead Space, Dead Space 3, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Mirror’s Edge, Medal of Honor and Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box – for whatever price they like.

Those who pay above the average, which at the time of writing stands at just $4.74, also get copies of Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 Starter Pack.

Humble last night confirmed that the bundle sold $100,000 worth in its first 25 minutes, making it the fastest seller ever.

So far consumers have purchased 674,282 bundles raising $3,196,764. Also note that while publishers normally take a slice of these sales, EA has chosen not to, meaning all proceeds are shared between the five selected charities and the Humble organisation itself.
