Moledina joins new social startup

EA Partners biz dev boss joins Funzio

EA Partners’ business development director, Jamil Moledina, has departed the company to join Funzio, the developer of social and mobile titles.

Moledina (pictured) takes the position of vice president of business development at Funzio.

The Californian studio has more than doubled its headcount to 65 employees in the past six months, and with the guidance of Moledina is seeking further growth.

"From what I’ve seen, the future of games is about creating fun social action games for play on any device, any platform, anywhere," Moledina said.

"Funzio is one of very few companies whose vision and execution are delivering on that goal, and I’m excited to join a team inventing that future."

At EA, Moledina was tasked with securing deals with external developers. Prior to the EA job, he was executive director for the Game Developers Conference.
