EA: Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 will blossom early next year

The follow-up to third-person shooter spin-off Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will bloom early next year.

Six new character classes, completely with new weapons and abilities, will be introduced in Garden Warfare 2. These include the Imp, a super-fast character, and the SuperBrainz undead Superman-a-like.

And in a turn of fates from every PvZ title to date, Garden Warfare 2 will see the plants on the attacking side of things for the very first time.

There’s a new four-player co-op mode, Graveyard Ops, which was apparently the most fan-request game mode to be added to the upcoming sequel.

Second-most requested was the ability to play the game modes single-player, which has also made it into the new game in the form of the solo play mode.

More than six million players have played the first Garden Warfare, according to EA.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 will be released next Spring, 2016.
