EA releases Mirror’s Edge 2 art ahead of likely E3 reveal

Mirror’s Edge 2 looks odds on toe feature as part of EA’s slate for E3 this week.

The Mirror’s Edge Facebook page has released a new image, which can be seen in full below, which while not carrying the full Mirror’s Edge 2 branding can surely only point to one thing.

The game was officially confirmed by EA at last year’s show, having leaked on EA’s own website a month prior and again via a retail listing.

In early 2011 creators DICE admitted that sales of the first game fell short of targets and that development of a sequel had been put on hold. By 2012, however, signs pointed to a change of fortunefor the IP.

We know that Mirror’s Edge 2 will be an open-world title but beyond that little has been confirmed. Expect to find out in the next 24 hours.
