EA teases multiplatform release for Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2 looks more likely than ever to be heading to PS4.

"Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven’t yet announced, but we’ll probably have another Titanfall game,” EA CFO Blake Jorgensen told the 2015 Technology, Internet & Media Conference, as reported by GameSpot.

It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that’s a huge positive for us."

Prior to the release of Titanfall – which was only available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC – EA described the game’s console exclusivity as a tactical opportunity”.

Later that year developer Respawn admitted that the Xbox exclusivity deal was made without its knowledge, with boss Vince Zampella stating that he expected future titles to be multiplatform.

Indeed, it was rumoured last year that EA had signed up to publish a multiplatform sequel.
