Endless Ocean gets UK release date

After huge success with its pioneering Touch! Generations range, Nintendo has finally announced a European release date for the latest title to carry the moniker – Endless Ocean.

Billing itself as ‘calm’ and ‘relaxed’, the game sees players assume the role of a diver, exploring a number of underwater locations such as ship wrecks and ruins and interacting with a wide range of sea-life.

As is now expected of a Wii title, the game makes good use of the Wii remote, though if the remote goes untouched the game becomes a ‘tranquil screensaver’ accompanied by an equally laid-back soundtrack.

The game will also offer online play over Nintendo’s WiFi Connection service and allows gamers to play along to their own MP3s from an SD card.

The game will retail for around 30 in the UK.
