Evolve alpha event delayed on PS4 due to firmware issues

Issues with the latest PlayStation 4 firmware update has caused 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios to postpone the platform’s planned alpha event for Evolve.

A post on the upcoming game’s official site states that PS4’s 2.00 firmware update has caused unspecified issues for Turtle Rock – though GameSpot reports network issues are at the root of the delay.

The developer did state that it’s working with Sony on a solution. For the time being, 2K is directing traffic towards the actively running alpha events for the Xbox One and PC versions.

Evolve is scheduled to launch February 10th, 2015 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
