Players can become citizens of Quahog in new browser-based freemium game

Family Guy Online enters open beta

Twentieth Century Fox announced today that Family Guy Online has entered open beta.

Family Guy, a hit US animated comedy series, takes place in the town of Quahog, and the game gives fans a chance to join their favorite characters in the Rhode Island suburb.

A multiplayer, browser-based, freemium title, Family Guy Online is scripted and voiced by the show’s writers and talent.

Players choose one of four classes based on the Griffen family architypes and, equipped with the Peter-class burp, or the Stewie-class ray-gun, go on quests given by the citizens of Quahog.

The players who have participated in the closed beta will be the first to recieve the "Key to Quahog", but players who register now will be e-mailed with an approximate wait time for their key.
