FIFA is a Wii U launch title

FIFA 13 will be amongst the first titles to launch on Wii U this year.

The franchise – which is only beaten by Call of Duty in sales each year – will be update for Wii U to feature GamePad controls. It even features ranked online play for the first time in a FIFA game for a Nintendo console.

The game uses the GamePad to shoot and place free kicks, similar to how Vita’s backpad can be used for playing FIFA. It can also be used to quickly changing tactics and players using the touch screen.

Madden NFL 13 will also be a launch game for Wii U.

We challenged our teams to develop innovations designed specifically for the Wii U, and to create new ways to play that would bring players of all abilities together,” said EA Sports boss Andrew Wilson.

Our teams have truly delivered creative new football experiences with FIFA 13and Madden NFL 13for the Wii U.”
