Former EA exec Tim Wilson joins Glu

Longtime EA executive Tim Wilson has left the publisher to join Glue Mobile as its chief technical officer.

Games Industryreports on the departure – and subsequent appointment – of Wilson, who worked for 20 years at Electronic Arts in roles including CTO of EA, EA Labels, All Play, the Core Mobile Group, and head of the firm’s EADP Mobile Platform.

"I expect his expertise and track record of excellence to optimize the services that support Glu’s planned growth," Glu CEO Niccolo de Masi said – adding that Wilson will perform a role similar to his work on EADP.

Wilson’s move to Glu was based around the mobile firm’s free-to-play focus, with the industry veteran stating the model has "the greatest potential for growth" that he has encountered.
