God of War III almost two years away

is claiming that a ‘reliable Sony source’ has told it that the highly anticipated God of War III for PS3 will not be released until Christmas 2009.

Although official information about the game is more or less non-existent at the moment, it is said to support 1080p and Sixaxis support, including the new rumble features.

Many had anticipated a Q4 2008 release.
