GT5 to be PS3s best 2010 seller

With a concrete release date now nailed down, retailer ShopTo.net has predicted that Gran Turismo 5 will be the biggest selling PS3 game of 2010.

The game is currently the pre-ordered on the site, which is selling it for 34.85.

This year’s first party release slate for the console included titles such as God of War III, Heavy Rain, Modnation Racers and Sports Champions though of course there have been plenty of third party hits too, including Call of Duty: Black Ops, FIFA 11 and Red Dead Redemption.

We’ve never seen anything like this before,” ShopTo marketing manager Philip Driver stated. As soon as the new release date was announced the sales just went through the roof.

This is a game that most PS3 owners have been waiting a long time for. Luckily we have prepared well and will be able to get GT5 to everyone that orders for release day.”

Gran Turismo 5 will be released in the UK on November 24th.
