Guitar Hero Live details leaked

A new version of Guitar Hero featuring a brand new peripheral has been leaked online.

Yahoo France names the game as Guitar Hero Live, as spotted by Eurogamer. The report says that it will comer with a redesigned guitar controller featuring six buttons, divided into two rows of three.

Another big change comes in the form of a first person view that sees players more directly fill the boots of an on-stage performer. It also claims that the title is being developed by FreeStyleGames, which was the talent behind Activision’s DJ Hero.

A return for the Guitar Hero series has been repeatedly touted this year, with a recent report suggesting it was due to be unveiled to journalists on April 1st. just yesterday VG247 said the game would be revealed publicly today at 3pm.

Don’t forget that rival music series Rock Band is also making a come back this year. Haromix has said that it hopes Rock Band 4 will be compatible with legacy hardware – something that Guitar Hero Live’s new controller design presumably prohibits?

Activision suffered another game leak just last week when images of a new Tony Hawk game logo appeared online.
