Halo 2 Anniversary in development – report

Microsoft-owned developer 343 Industries is reportedly working on yet another HD-revamp of a past Halo title.

The latest issue of OXM, as reported by CVG, claims that the studio is currently beavering away on Halo 2 Anniversary.

With Halo 4 pencilled in for a November 6th release, a possible Halo 2 remake could possibly figure into Microsoft’s 2013 release schedule, depending of course on the company’s plans for the Xbox 720.

The first ever HD Halo remake was released last year in the form of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition, which was a moderate success in both commercial and critical terms.

Halo 2, which was released in 2004 for the original Xbox, was most notable for introducing online multiplayer to the series for the first time.
