Hugh Laurie joins LittleBigPlanet 3 voice cast

Hugh Laurie will be joining Stephen Fry on the voice cast list of upcoming PS4 and PS3 title LittleBigPlanet 3.

Laurie is voicing antagonist Newton, while Fry returns as the game’s iconic narrator.

It’s not nearly as different as I might have thought ten years ago; storytelling is storytelling, whatever form it takes and I’m attracted to anything I can do for the first time,"Laurie himself said."This seemed to me to be so completely charming, witty and lovingly done that I was very taken with it.”

A number of other recognisable names have been revealed for the game, too, including Peter Serafinowicz (Shaun of the Dead, Dark Souls 2), Simon Greenall (Alan Partridge) and Nolan North (Uncharted, Assassin’s Creed, the Arkham series, Transformers Prime, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

We were keen to attract the best possible voice talent we could for LittleBigPlanet 3 and who better could we ask for than Hugh Laurie?"Sumo Digital’s creative directorSean Millardadded. "Hugh brings both the kind of humour and sense of darkness we were going for; we knew he’d be perfect as Newton, plus it pairs him up once again with Stephen Fry.”

LittleBigPlanet 3 will be released on November 18th.
